Wedge for SVP

Wedge SVP is a unique reusable accessory that is used for laying ceramic tiles or porcelain stoneware on walls or floors. With the help of wedges, the working surface is maximally flat. Tile wedges have several advantages:

• tightly fix the edges of the tiles, which significantly speeds up the laying process;
  
• they can be clamped by hand, without the use of special tools;
  
• create identical seams between tiles;

Their use prevents the tiles from sagging after the adhesive has dried, while extending its service life. In addition, uneven laying entails problems such as the appearance of mold and mildew between the joints, the risk of injury, destruction of tiles due to operational loads, etc.

Installation instructions

Before you buy wedges for leveling tiles, you should prepare the work surface - clean it of dust and dirt, level and prime it. Then you need to prepare an adhesive solution with a fine fraction, which is applied both to the base and to the tile itself. Next, you should adhere to the following sequence:

1. We lay out the first tile as evenly as possible, for this it is better to use a level. It is advisable to start from the corner.
2. We put the bases of the SVP under the tile close to the end.
3. The bases are fixed at a distance of 5 cm from each corner of the tile.
4. Then we lay the second tile, immediately pull it off the first using wedges. You can fasten the wedges with your hands or with the help of special devices.
5. Lay the remaining tiles in the same way.
6. We are waiting for the glue to dry.
7. We remove the SVP with a rubber mallet.
8. We do the grouting.

Today on sale you can find SVP wedges of numerous manufacturers, mainly foreign, including TM Plitkom products, since in Ukraine, during the repair, they still use outdated technologies and materials. However, many users have already been able to appreciate the benefits of tile wedges. Conveniently, both beginners and experienced tilers can use it.
